Nature
The Beetle plants a seed and the building grows on its own. You can build only on the undergrowth around other nature buildings. The Caiman is invisible in water, the Swarm overwhelms the enemy.
Low-poly real-time strategy for 2–6 players. Nature, Shamans, Machines, Humans and Orcs each build differently, fight differently and clash over the network or against the computer.
Alpha version with the tactical computer opponent for Linux and Windows.
Checking…
In the game open Network game → Public servers and pick a free room. The first player in the room chooses the map, adds computer opponents and starts the game. Only the same versions of the game can play together.
New in alpha 0.19
The computer player got a new tactical brain. It is not meant to play as strong as possible, but in an interesting way: you can tell it is up to something, and you have a chance to outsmart it.
Depending on the situation it chooses between growth, defence, a main attack and a raid. The Builder saves up for a big strike, the Warrior pushes and takes risks, the Tactician raids and scouts the map.
It splits its army into squads. It attacks when it has the upper hand, leaves a lost fight, falls back to the rally point and tries again from another side.
It sends fast units at undefended workers, deposits and sources of Energy. It focuses fire on the weakest enemy in range.
Against a threat at its base it sends a squad that is enough for it, and it does not call off a whole attack because of one intruder. Workers flee from a raid and then go back to work.
It sees only what its units reveal through the fog of war, and it gets no resource bonuses. It builds according to what it has seen of yours.
Wounded Shamans heal at the Spirit Totem, the Wizard aims at crowds, wounded Orcs do not retreat in their fury and Humans send vehicles for repair.
Difficulty Easy, Medium, Hard or Adaptive, which adjusts to you. The lower difficulties make human mistakes: they retreat late, scout less and react more slowly.

The Beetle plants a seed and the building grows on its own. You can build only on the undergrowth around other nature buildings. The Caiman is invisible in water, the Swarm overwhelms the enemy.

Peasants build together, the more of them the faster. The Spirit Totem heals the wounded, Archers shoot further from high ground and the Wizard hits a whole group with a fireball.

The Drone teleports the building into place. Factories and towers need the power field of the Core or a Reactor. The Walker climbs cliffs, the Interceptor rules the air.

A modern army: the Technician builds alone and fast and repairs Tanks and Helicopters. The Power Plant gives the most Energy, but burns Matter.

Cheap and tough. They take Energy as loot for every enemy killed, wounded warriors fly into a rage and the Wyvern attacks from the air.
A new version is being polished: the tactical computer opponent and the balance of the five races. Once it is ready, you will find one file for Linux and one for Windows here.
Alpha version. The first public build of the five races and the tactical opponent: playable, but still being polished and it may contain bugs. Only the same versions can play together over the network.
After downloading, allow running it: chmod +x goot-*-linux-x86_64, then run the file.
Run the downloaded .exe. Windows may warn about an unsigned application:
choose More info → Run anyway.
In the menu choose Network game → Host a game. Others can join at your IP; open UDP port 7788.
